This loop starts at the Gardner Lake Beach and travels along the edge of the lake through Bachelder Park. At the crossroads keep left to follow the edge of the lake and turn right up the second main trail called Powow Trail. This is a moderate trail through the woods and can be muddy in the Spring. After a short period of exertion you will reach Batchelder Park with views of the ocean over Seabrook, NH. This is a great place to watch the sunrise! To return to the beach you can take Batchelder Trail which has views over the Amesbury town center through the trees.
