Nice flat trail along the Chesire Resevoir. We went road biking but saw a lot of walkers, joggers, and rollerbladers. With areas of both shade and sun it was nice. Would recommend!

This is a fantastic trail for any and all activities. We saw recumbent bikes, speed bikes, scooters, walkers, runners, and electric wheel chairs. It’s delightful. No hills. Paved path. Good for the whole family.

We found this trail on a whim. Many more cyclists than walker but nice scenery. Walked a couple miles out then came back.

HikingGreat!

The rail trail itself was fantastic - will paved, wide, easy to walk, bike, skate, etc. I am an amputee who walks with crutches - I was hoping there would be more benches. The first one was 0.7 miles - a long haul for me. Second, would like to have seen some mileage markers. Third - very limited parking - we were lucky to not only find a spot, but a HC spot as well. Most people are following Covid-19 protocols, which is good to see. I happened to witness a marsh bird dive into said marsh and come barreling back out with a fish! Very cool. I love the fact that there is beauty everywhere, even though there is a major road 100 yards away. We visited on a SaturdaY late morning, and by the time we left, it was very busy. Weather was fantastic, so no surprise there. Would be nice if there were some way to find more parking. Loved it and hope to do it again next time we are in the area.

WalkingGreat!

Flat and paved. Many cyclists and roller bladers. Path is fully accessible by wheelchair. Extremely well maintained and marked. Lots of noise pollution from nearby roads. Passes by houses, businesses, and other private property, though most of the trail is shady and flanked by trees and shrubs. Several benches and tables along the path.

we did the newly opened southern half from the berkshires mall to Cheshire. The trail was the best graded trail I have ever seen. the sides were edged with well graded packed small gravel so you were safe even if you got off the smooth asphalt. we saw blackberries, big turtle and lots of beautiful views.

Beautiful smooth trail for easy cycling, roller blading etc. Note the northern section is closed effective 6/29/20 from Cheshire to Adams which was a real bummer. Stop at the Ice cream store in Cheshire for a treat and wait a bit for an AT thru hiker - they are the ones limping and beat up. They are worth chatting with for perspective.

Beautiful trail that is well shaded and has spectacular views of the Berkshires and Mount Greylock. In Mid June trail was undergoing partial construction. Parts of the trail were completely closed (south of Rail Road St) but most of the trail seemed to be open.

The southern half of the rail trail is undergoing renovation with milling and paving. Should be completed by mid summer. You can pick up the rail trail on Church Street in Cheshire from there north to Adams it is about 6.2 miles one way
