Arched Bridge Conservation Area to Flatrock Hill is a 1.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Dunstable, Massachusetts that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and running and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Nice, wide trails, easy for passing other walkers without a mask on with plenty of passing room. Some muddy and icy patches, but very easily walkable with seasonally-appropriate footwear. Lots of intersecting trails, clearly visible in the AllTrails app, which makes for countless possibilities for taking different routes each time you visit. Some hills might be a bit steep for children, but none are particularly tall, so it should be a comfortable hike for most beginners!
Really nice trails!! The main trail was nice and flat and wide. Right now it wasn’t muddy or icey except a few spots. Great little offshoots but nothing was marked so the app or a general sense of direction is needed. That’s the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5! Worth a visit
Flat grade all the way from Flat Rock Conservation Area trailhead parking area to Arched Bridge over Salmon Brook, mostly along rail trail. Short elevation gain through forested and meadow areas. Very beautiful throughout. Some short trail segments connecting up to Flat Rock peak difficult to follow, but worth the effort.
Flat rail trail. Had to move aside for a herd of ATVs. Nice arch bridges along the route.
The end of the White trail not marked well. Otherwise good hike.
The length of the trail as measured by All Trails is 1.8 miles but that is round-trip total. Also, there are no trail markers on the trail (the GPS function within the All Trails app is very helpful to stay on the red line trail on the map, because there are many alternative trails leading off from the main); neither at the start nor at the end of the trail (at the opposite end of the High Street start). The trail continues on in multiple directions. The GPS on the app helped me determine that I was at the end of the trail. The end of the trail is all uphill.
Easy trail, mostly flat. Some hills. There are a lot of other trails within this trail that are not recorded. Check yourself for ticks after - I had one crawling on me while I was typing this in my car.
Long straight trail!! No other hikers Quiet and peaceful!
