this was the dog's choice. I really enjoyed the path towards Greylock/Maine. much easier than the one headed towards Georgia

Hiking

Trail was flat most of the way with only a few small hilly sections. We stopped at the shelter and didn't do the extra 2.5 miles to Dalton Road this time since we weren't staying over. Not many views, but interesting landscape to keep us entertained including porcupine remains! We will be back next time with our back packing gear!

Hiking

This was a GREAT hike. We did a point-to-point from Dalton to Washington. Many different settings ... forest, rock outcroppings, fields, several stream crossings and one great view. Warning: the mileage is off by a bit on All Trails. I mapped it on my Garmin and the point to point was 9.8 miles. Not a big deal, but just know there’s “a little more to hike” when you think you’re done !

Backpacking

We did this as part of a multi-day backpacking trip. It's a beautiful forest hike-- pretty mellow, not a ton of elevation change, but with some really pretty sections. It was misty and socked for most of the day when we did it so we didn't get the view from the hill, but you could see that it would be lovely on a clear day.
