Appalachian Trail: North Adams (Eph's Lookout) to Harmon Hill and Bennington is a 4.4 mile out and back trail located near Williamstown, Massachusetts that features a great forest setting. The trail is only recommended for very experienced adventurers and primarily used for hiking, camping, nature trips, and backpacking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Nice views from the Pine Cobble junction and Eph's Lookout. Street parking is plentiful along Massachusetts Ave, near the start.

Not one of the more scenic sections of the AT, but it's a good climb up to the VT border, with a challenging stretch about 2.5 miles up that's strewn with boulders and rocks. This is very steep, so the "Bad Weather trail" serves as a bypass when conditions are too wet and unsafe.

For those section hikers, the parking for this is at Greylock Community Club on Rt. 2, not where the trail directions take your GPS...that's private residences. Free water, but not parking.
