Paved rail-trail. (6 miles) Between Little Pool and Big Pool, the WMRT continues to be sandwiched between the canal and I-70. This section of trail also has the Licking Creek Aqueduct and the Park Head Cemetary. While this is not quite as scenic as the trail west of Hancock, the pavement would be a welcome reprieve for those through-biking the C&O Canal Towpath.

Easy flat paved, for a light rest day.

Wonderful trail. Smooth pavement. The western half is prettiest. Follows along the canal in a nice canopy of woods. The eastern half from Big Pool to Hancock is. Ice. Has some good views of the water. But several miles of it is so close to
Route 70 that it is noisy with traffic.

A flat but expansive trail. I really enjoyed the scenery. Definitely going to visit again
