One of my favorite hikes in Howard County- it feels serene, protected, and secluded. Rarely crowded. Peaceful streams and rivers amongst trees, and several lovely meadows with flowering plants and plenty of pollinators. Some parts can feel overgrown by late summer as trails aren’t as actively traveled.

Its a very beautiful and lush trail. I went there for a run but kept getting lost even though i was following the map on Alltrails. It was so confusing which trail was the main trail and i kept hitting a dead end. Maybe its easier to navigate for someone that has done it several times

Well worn trail through different habitats. Heard some good birds. Lots of poison ivy. Nice access to river for people and dogs.

This was an easy enjoyable trail with nice shade that wasn’t too busy. Saw a snake, abandoned destroyed vehicle, some fishies and a froggy. Slightly muddy due to the rain from the day prior but is a family friendly hiking path for anyone.

The trail was in great condition a few muddy spots, easy to walk with an Toddler and dog. Nice walk off spots to view the creek.

Easy trail, very quiet, sometimes muddy so be prepared if you come the day after it rained. There are multiple ways to walk, but the most scenic hike (on South Wind Trail) is if you go straight all the way to see the river. Occasionally I see families set up chairs along the creek and bring their dogs for a dip.

Pretty day. Pretty trails. Sweet smelling air. Loved getting out of the house. Some muddy areas - also a few turns of the trail are not well marked, although I wasn’t nervous about getting lost. Glad I had my AllTrails app.!

Great hike today. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a long hike with very little elevation change

Had to get out of the house and found this trail to de-stress. Really nice trail along the river and through some woods. Lots of birds senrading along the entire trail! Not too muddy even with the rain last night and this morning.
