This trail is all switchbacks and sometimes a little steep. Make sure to bring water and a little snack to enjoy at the top while you sit back and enjoy the view. Going back is easier as it’s pretty much all down hill. Just be sure to wear some good hiking boots or a shoe with good traction as there is a lot of rocks on the trail. Best to go on a weekday to avoid crowds.

I went again to weverton cliffs parking lot. after an uphill climb to the cliffs I continued to the Ed Garvey shelter which is also uphill. shelter is almost 3 miles from weverton cliffs parking lot. It's for through hikers with bathroom and a spring so it's a nice haven during bad weather. So its an easy downhill on way back. I messed up last few times by having battery saver on which messed GPS up. so much more accurate when turn off battery saver using all trails.

For a novice hiker like me, this was a moderately challenging hike. Even my energetic dog slowed down towards the top. Gorgeous views!!

Short trail with a great view at the end. Walk south from the parking lot to find the trail (or east on the road). The hike up to the cliffs can take about 45 minutes, depending on your speed. Go on a weekday if you'd like a little more solitude.

Great short trail. Nice little workout too since it is all uphill. In the end great views. I went on a Friday morning, had the entire top to myself for a while!

This trail was amazing, it’s a quick hike. But it’s all incline, and worth it once you reach the top!

This is a fun little snip-it of the AT. We were looking to stretch our legs after a couple hours of tubing. This was perfect! We started late, like 4 pm, and the trail was pretty quiet. It's a short hike but it's a bit steep so it gets your legs working, and there is a the reward of a lovely view of the river.

Amazing views. We’ve hiked this a couple times because of how great the trail is and how worth it the view is. Bring water!

Fun, rocky climb with a rewarding view. Late morning hike found quite a few fellow hikers and almost as many furry ones (dogs) but didn’t feel crowded. Loved it though the trailhead needs a marker as well as directions from the parking lot to it. Good workout on the shady incline.

Nice out and back trail via the Appalachian Trail with excellent views. The entrance is hard to find since there are no signs. Park in the lot, walk along the road to Weverton Rd. and the trail is across the street. Start by going up the stone steps.

Fun, quick hike with a great views at the end. The trail is mostly up hill going to the Cliffs but sort of gives you time to rest if you need to at each curving turning point. Ran into people both ways but you still have space to enjoy the view at the top.
