This trail is the main artery through Little Bennett Regional Park. It's an old road that's been busted up and converted to gravel. You will still see the old pavement in some places. It crosses a pretty stream (over a bridge) and connects many other trails in this park. Little Bennett Park was established in 1962, on property that the county purchased. It was originally farmland, and included several small communities. Although the forest has grown up significantly since then, along some portions of the trail, you will still see remnants of this past in the form of old fences and rusted antique farm equipment.
This very broad trail is an easy walk/hike with one steep portion near the stream. There's a lovely meadow (Wim's meadow) that houses several bluebird boxes. The entire hike is very pretty, and goes through forest, meadow and stream environments.
