You will start behind the visitors center on the Bloody Lane Trail.Take the trail down to the Tower taking in the various memorials. You will then transition to the Three Farms Trail and once you cross Boonsboro Pike, you'll be on the Sherrick Farm Trail which follows Antietam Creek. This is a beautiful hike and the Three Farms and Sherrick Farm Trails are not widely used so you'll be able to walk in the woods in peace.

Interesting hike. A variety of trail types ranging from mowed grass paths circumventing cornfields to dirt roads. Is a hike I would do again- so much history! We really enjoyed it. It is long, but not rigorous. We brought our dog Jip along and he did well.

As of August 2016, the Burnside Bridge at the southern end of the trail loop is closed for repairs. The closure began in October 2015. Press reports say that the bridge will reopen in the fall of 2016, but check on the status of the bridge at the visitor center before setting out.

There is beautiful, varied terrain. The trails were well kept, with very scenic views. The only drawback was the neccesary checking of the map at every intersection. Some more trail markings would suffice. But overall it was a great run!

Shady, creek-following short hike. Maintained trail, no major hills. Great loop to burn some energy off the dog!

Good number of paw paw trees line the trail, enjoy them as a nice snack, right off the tree.

A nice walk through one of the few wooded trails at Antietam. Saw deer and lots of different birds. About half the trail is along Antietam creek.
