I live nearby and hike these trails on a regular basis. Good for keeping your hiking legs. No spectacular views but a diverse landscape. Good chance you'll see some wildlife. The beavers on the horse swamp trail seem to have moved on.

Great Trail. Barry Walmart. a bit muddy and a certain area washed out. other than that it was very nice.if you go there the time of year there are leaves you will not be able to see anything at the Overlook.

Super high quality trail for somebody getting into longer-distance hikes, or a nice training hike for somebody who needs miles under pack, etc. As mentioned elsewhere, pretty muddy in low-lying areas but definitely passable. The views at the terminus are underwhelming, but a really nice diversity of scenery along the way.

Very good, moderate trail that is very well marked.

This is a great trail. I've been looking for a place to hike on a weekly basis and I think I've found it. It's a good distance, but I'd like to find a way to make it longer, like six hours.

Completed on 7 Jan 2019. Muddy in the low lying areas, but very peaceful. Did not see another person until I got to Parker’s Creek Loop. Some decent climbs but was still able to jog the majority of the way. This is a great workout and I’ll definitely be going back.

Great trail for Calvert County. Close to home

No spectacular views. Just a good trail for a moderate hike through varying terrain with a possibility of seeing some wildlife. I hike these trails frequently since they are close and keep me in shape for backpacking.
