This is a nice trail for the family. Lots of wildlife. There is a beautiful scene off of Cliff Trail of a branch that connects to the Patuxent River. At the Plummer Lane entrance, there is beautiful butterfly garden. The entire perimeter is 3.5 miles.

The Orange trail follows the perimeter around the preserve. You can add more mileage by using other trails. Maps are available at trail heads.

it's always a treat to come here to see the flower garden, the old barns, sometimes goats are here. of course the trails are awesome. some are flat others offer dips and valleys. everytime I come here it feels new and refreshing to get outdoors

Nice hike. From the Cliff Trail, there are nice views of the river below. Also, on the Beaver Rock I found some cactus. The trails are well marked.
