This trail has a good mix of leveled ground and hillyness. I'll say it's been quite muddy since winter started, I don't personally mind and have shoes that can take it, but for those of you don't have waterproof hiking shoes be prepared to potentially get some muddy and wet feet, in drier weeks it seems to be manageable to avoid the mud though

I thought it was a cute little hike, I drove 60 miles to get there and I felt it was worth it. I'd do it again.

This is a PARKING NIGHTMARE! I can’t believe no one else has mentioned it. There is a lot with about 18 spots and that’s IT. There is no more parking up the road. You either get a spot or have to leave. Luckily we found a spot as someone pulled out but come early or don’t go. The trail itself is pretty nice and well marked for most of it, after crossing over the power lines we lost the blazes so we had to double back for a bit. Great for dogs and there are many areas if you want to go in the river for a bit. There are signs to keep dogs on leash but a few people didn’t so just be aware!

This trail was not marked well. If it wasn’t for the All Trails recording, we would not have been able to follow the correct path. The area is pretty though and the sound of the stream is calming.

Good trail, not too strenuous, the crisscrossing creeks were quite lovely, and the rich colors of fall really made this hike quite enchanting. A little rocky in parts, but nothing crazy. And the fallen leaves really helped with keeping our trek minimally muddy. Paint on the trees served as trail markers (there are only white or blue really) but I suggest using the AllTrails map since the white trail repeats often throughout the park leading to some people’s mention of getting a little lost. The app worked fine during our hike. Nice leisurely trail!

Nice trails, shaded, clean, beautiful water views, not crowded. But it was not well marked and the paking space is very limited.

Pros: Nice shade, fairly well-marked creekside trail. Not too crowded on a Saturday. Cons: limited parking, muddy trail, have to watch your feet rather than the scenery since there are lots of exposed roots / trip hazards. Difficult creek crossing.

Great trail! Beautiful scenery. A little soggy from the rain the previous night. But with two dogs, my husband and I had a lot of fun!

Moderate trail, rocking, awesome experience. Water views, snake view. Although the trail leads to an unmarked path, a helpful guy showed us how to get through.

Nice and wide with lots of time by the river. Muddy in spots and a couple of downed trees but nothing you couldn’t easily get around.
