Partially closed and my recording stopped due to no signal. Time to move on.
The park itself is HUGE and perfect for family outings such as bbq’s and the trail is easy to say the least. There’s at least 5 miles worth of concrete trail for those pushing strollers or for those who don’t want the added difficulty of a natural trail. The off trail has a few muddy spots and roots to climb over so u don’t suggest carrying the striker back there. But there us plenty if concrete trail inside the actual lark grounds to walk/exercise in without having to worry about the excitement of the unknown in the trail. Be mindful of horse poop when in the off trail and there’s an abundance of aquatic wildlife for nature photographers. Unfortunately the only drawbacks are the lack of maintenance of the trail and the amount of trash on the ground.
This is a nice area for a stroll with the family. They have a great nature center to observe the wildlife of the area. Beautiful lake and great playground. The only downside is that people leave plastic bottles and bags - a lack of regard for the public park/nature..
I grew up walking this trail. I wouldn't consider it a real hike, but it used to be a nice afternoon walk. Unfortunately, the visitors to the park have become more rude and obnoxious as the years have passed. They are loud and leave trash everywhere. On my last visit (which will be my last visit), a group of picnickers threw food at my kids and me. Until the visitors are policed, this is not worth a trip!
