Nice walk. But, the trail crosses a parkway at a signal.

Thankfully it wasn't super hot out or these trail loops would have been ruff on this old man. Not very many shaded areas on the 4 miles of trails. I did both complete loops of the two lakes. I would recommend only hiking this area in the early spring or late fall. First time i hiked here and to me Centennial Lake, although smaller, was way nicer then these lakes. I had to cross Patuxent Pkwy to get to the other lake. For safety reasons they should build a overhead crossover for people. Columbia has the big bucks so why not.
