Easy hike for anyone with some muddy spots that can be avoided by staying in the edge of the trail. Found some newish campsites there as well near the water that would be nice when the weather is warmer.
great trail. super beautiful and well marked. there are a lot of stretches of mud so wear boots if you can. i’ll definitely be back!
great water views. Would rate a 5 as an easy walk except for numerous muddy sections.
Beautiful views of the St. Mary’s River as well as plenty of informational stops. Loved learning while walking!
From Farthing through HSMC then Woodland Trail past slave quarters to Chancellor Point and back.
Great afternoon hike. Easy trail with good bay/creek views. Includes historical markers.
easy to light moderate for walking and a good stretch. Bikes would have to deal with tree roots but mostly bike-able..
Very poorly marked trail but easily navigated with the app. Lots of fun on a little beach about halfway.
The trail had rocks and trees in the trail a bit, and the rain made it muddy. The trail was beautiful and had plenty of shade. Definitely recommend.
We enjoyed hiking this trail. The views of the woods and water are beautiful. There are, maybe, a half dozen benches along the way and several small bridges. Since we hiked on a warmish winter day, the ground was fairly soft with stretches of the low areas extremely muddy. We encountered several large blown down trees across the trail, but they weren’t difficult to get over. Other than the muddy stretches, the trail, which is amply marked with blue painted roots and rocks, is well worth hiking.
