Nice hike to two beautiful views. Quick climb at the beginning, then a nice walk along the ridge ending at High Rock. The hike on on the Appalachian Trail the entire time. Start at the trail head on the North side of Raven Rock road and continue North. Raven Rocks and a camp ground will be on your right after a bit of a climb. Keep going on the AT North until you see a sign indicating the High Rock viewpoint 0.2 mile loop. Enjoy the views. Some of the best around :)

We left Pen Mar Park and it was chilly. We reached the Raven Rock Shelter in a couple hours and settled in for the night. Awoke to 5 degrees yet slept well in shelter. Great job on the shelter; well built and welcoming.

Though has great views, High rock itself is covered with graffiti and next to a parking lot & a disappointment. Annapolis Rock is better for both quiet and views. Shelter @ halfway is nearly new & picnic area is in great condition.

Nice trail but the overlook is covered in graffiti and you can drive right up to it.

Great hike. Started at Raven Rock Rd. Steep incline starting out... gets your cardio going. Levels out and you walk on the ridge. Worth the hike to get to the overlook.!!!

Good local trail with nice overview and some easy grappling.

A quiet, reflective walk in the woods.

Good steep start and then smooth and flat through the woods to the overlook. Really beautiful view and a nice easy hike overall.

SOBO it was a lovely walk through the woods. High Rock has a breathtaking view. Ravens Rock is very steep and going back up it was tiring! Overall a great hike- I would recommend.

Parking is best on the opposite side of the road. There was only one other car so I didn't have trouble. I ran into two people near the beginning of the trail but that was it. The first 15 mins is straight uphill so be prepared. Other then that it's a rather enjoyable walk. On another mountain close by someone started shooting guns, so I turned around bc my 8 month Shepard was startled and whimpering. Therefore we did not make it to what I am assuming is the end view from the pictures.

There is a nice view though once you make it up the first hill.
