Open 2track trail/road 1.1 mile incline to summit featuring a lookout forest tower and a very cool rock out cropping. Awesome vista. Great pics. Return trip far easier.

If this is the fire tower trail, agree with prior poster. Trail is basically a gradual incline road to a very nice overlook. Climbing the fire tower was the most adrenaline induced part of the hike. Great pics!

Worth all five stars in my book for the view at the top. It truly is one of the best -- maybe in Maryland. The trail up is unremarkable, mostly grass covered. Fairly steep grade, but not the steepest -- just a steady work out about a 1/10th of a mile in for the remainder of the trip. Absolutely gorgeous with leaves down as the views are great on the way up. BUT the rocks -- stunning!!
