As of May 20th, 2020, users have reported that the Greenbury point portion of trail is closed. Please consult the park's website before visiting. Greenbury Point is by the Naval Academy golf course. There are two hikes here. One that is 3.3 miles (Nature Center and Tower Trails) and a 2 mile (Tower Trail). These trails are near an active rifle range. Sometimes this area is closed due to Naval Academy operations nearby, and the trailheads will have signs up indicating this. Please check here to determine the status of the area: https://mobile.twitter.com/NSAAnnapolis The Nature Center Trail can be very overgrown. The Tower Trail is a dirt road and is used a lot by walkers, joggers and bike riders.

Trail is very over grown. Bug spray and long pants are a must. Ticks are very bad on this part of the trail.

Nice trail with gravel and some paved paths. There are sections of the trail that take you through the vegetation and trees that is heavily overgrown right now so wear long pants and sleeves. Provides nice unobstructed views of the water. **There are signs for live fire range and you can hear shooting off in the distance but was not an issue

Great views of the Bay on the backside of the trail. Some of the paths were narrow and a little overgrown. Mostly flat paths so easy to navigate.

Really nice trail out to Greenbury Point and back. Some parts of the trail are a bit overgrown in spots but others are very open with a gravel path. Some beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay at the point as well as of the Bay Bridge and Naval Academy. Large parts of the trail are in the direct sun so bring sunscreen.

If you are at the beach... it’s nice to walk around. But it’s pretty plain

I would recommend the hike there were pretty views of water and lots of flowers. Part of the trail is a gravel path with no side at all, bring hat. About 1 mile of the path is in the forest and it is overgrown in parts and you have to look for the path.

I love running on this trail. It’s closed on occasion though and the reason is there is a shooting range which backs up to a portion of it. The police and Navy MA’s close the trail when the range is live. I live next to the shooting range and know exactly where it is and where it backs up to the trail and in my opinion the trail being closed is an abundance of caution because it’s still quite a ways away separates by the water and woods.

The trails mentioned on the map at the visitors center parking lot are short and very overgrown. However the East road/West road loop around the towers has some beautiful views of downtown Annapolis and the Bay Bridge. On the opposite side (down Mcarthy Rd if I remember correctly)there’s an area to drop in kayaks and canoes at Mill Creek and a long area of rocks for fishing and hanging out. Definitely check the loop is open before you go (as mentioned by others, they have a twitter feed).

nice trail but wish folks would keep their dogs on leashes and owners actuallu hold the leash. also, lots of wildlife. ran into a couple of snakes but just stay on path and you'll be ok

Great spot ! Was a little concerned about people allowing there dogs to run freely with no leash.. causes anxiety for those pups that follow the rules. Leash Your Dogs people!! Beautiful scenery paths were well marked

Really great spot with some beautiful vistas and fun trails through the woods. Beware, though - even though it’s posted that dogs must be leashed, there were at least 5 off leash on our 3 mile trek - makes for an anxiety filled time for someone like me whose dog is not good with others - LEASH YOUR DOGS PEOPLE!
