Overall a pleasant trail. The forest is very nice. Not too many viewpoints or views in general. Would rate it more easy to moderate.

Beautiful hike, loved the waterfall...a little bit technical. I would recommend hiking boots for some slippery rocks & mud in some places, but we loved it and the dogs liked the hike too!

Really nice shaded hike - got there at 8:30 and had met only a few other hikers and parking was plentiful. Visitor center is closed. Trail was well marked and well maintained. Liked the elevation changes. Took the dog and she loved it with several places for her to get wet. Great views at Hog Rock and a marked overlook. The waterfall is beautiful but need to go off trail to get to it. Would definitely do again!

Need to have balance when crossing log or rocks to climb the waterfall. Very slippery if shoes are wet. If you decide to not climb the waterfall there are trails that go around to get to the top. Dogs on leash, not sure if it’s bike friendly since it’s busy.

Did this hike a few years ago—it was good, and the falls were pretty, but don’t need to repeat with so many other hikes out there

Nice 5.5 trek with only a few other hikers other than the school group we encountered. Nice vistas on a beautiful day.

Trail is a little longer than stated. Closer to 5.5 miles RT. Great views and rocky at points. Steep inclines in areas but made a good workout

Very peaceful and pretty.

Wonderful trail! Stopped in at the visitors center and learned a ton about the park. Highly recommend popping in and saying hi! Wonderful park rangers very knowledgeable

Beautiful trail and well marked. It was a great workout, hard in some places and a leisurely walk in others. A couple of pretty overlooks and a fun waterfall area. Also, very shaded and wasn’t crowded, so that was great.

Nice trail. Got a little confusing at the end so we ended up walking out and along the road for a mile to get back to the visitor center where we parked. Somehow we ended up on the pink trail and extended our hike by quite a distance. But trail was good mix of ups and downs. Headed to hog rock after the falls is a decent work out going uphill.

I enjoyed this trail despite all of the rocks. I would recommend doing it on a cooler day, and bring plenty of water because the hills are steep.

Have done this trail twice a week apart. First time in the snow so couldn’t get up to Thurmont Vista due ice on the trail. Gorgeous forested trail with some good uphill sections. The views from Thurmont Vista, Blueridge Overlook and Hog Rock were great as it was so clear. Cunningham Falls was rushing from all the melted snow. 6 miles and 2:35 hours with excursions to overlooks
