Had to leave the Appalachian Trail due to knee pain on the Downhills. I am Backpacking this area until things get better. 3 to 6 mile day hikes will keep me conditioned so you may see an Old Senior hiking with a Backpack. I carry 13 Lbs. of base weight in my pack and it also helps my back too. If you have a back problem wear a back brace and include a backpack. The pack helps hold your back in a upright position. Nice flat paved trails with a few natural earth cutoffs.

Easy to walk. Some small inclines and declines. All paved. Less crowded at sunset and gorgeous; bring a flashlight if you're still out when it's dark!
