Yo, no joke, this trail kicked my a** lol. Its a long hike, rocky in parts with a steep incline to start, so I’d say moderate to difficult overall for someone like me who isn’t in great shape. It basically just ends at a giant pile of jagged rocks that most ppl won’t attempt to climb. All in all, great for exercise, bring extra water, make sure to look for trail marker on way back or you’ll keep going straight on the wrong trail if you’re not looking

Garden of toilet paper right at Bob’s hill Overlook. Called Cunningham Falls State Park Manor area to report it. It would help if other people would as well and prevent this trail from turning into a toilet

Trail starts off steep for a half mile and then levels off. Trail is narrow in places due to overgrown vegetation. Trail is 3.3 miles round trip from the parking lot. Cat rock isn’t identified clearly. There’s a post that’s been placed upside down by previous hikers so it takes some scrutiny to figure it out. The view from cat rock was disappointing. You just see trees. The hike was a good workout on a humid day in August.

Hit the trail today with my wife and 5 kids ( ages 1-9) was able to carry the youngest two. Trail in good condition, a little over grown in some spots. Even with all the rain we have had there were no down trees. It is a little on the challenging side with the extra kid weight but still manageable if you are in shape.

First to Review

hiked Old Misery up to the Cat Rock trail split. Tons of uphill to start, lots of switch backs to keep the incline manageable, keep your eyes on the orange blazed trees as it's easy to walk right through a switch back in the rocky sections. Very buggy this time of year, so bring your repellent! This is a great trail if you have moderately good cardio, but not so much if you don't; definitely no good for small children, the declines are tricky to manage because of the loose footings and scree. At the split, bear right to get to Cat Rock; we skipped this today b/c we're hitting the Cat Rock trail Monday...
