Snowy. Beautiful. Quiet. Make sure you have hiking boots because it’s wet.

Great combination of several trails. We accidentally went off of the trails a few times because we didn’t see the tail markers. Also, in some spots, the ground was soft to very soft because of recent rain.

My 3 children (8, 6, & 6) hiked (most of) the Cascade Falls Trail today. It was a delight! The weather was wonderful! A few things to note; yes, very muddy. Yes, many stream crossings. Yes, BEAUTIFUL! Yes, many people - about 50% of them were wearing masks. We look forward to hiking this trail again soon!

Perfect for little kid legs. Pretty muddy but that’s part of the experience, right? Would say approximately 75% people wearing masks. Easy to distance though. Parking a bit of a nightmare on the busy road but just off the trail.

Best in the early morning as the mud is frozen and there are not as many other hikers and bikers on the trail.

Muddy. But the falls were full and lush. Most water I’ve ever seen. It did rain the last three days.

Some intersections not clearly marked. Lots of bikers. Popular even on weekday afternoon. Still a nice trail overall.

This is no longer a good place to park. I counted 6 parking tickets and one car was being towed. If you park inside the park on the Baltimore County side off of Route 1 the trail is a 5. It’s no fun getting a ticket or towed.
