Challenge hike with an 8 year old. Gorgeous trail with enough mica, scrambles, worms and frogs to keep him interested. Easy enough for some trail running, lots of options for distance tweaking, pretty well marked. Had wanted to avoid mountain bikers; saw a few and it was fine. Crowded enough on a weekday that I would avoid weekends. Would do again and again.

This is an awesome, 5 mile-ish trail. Cascade falls loop is very crowded (lots of parents, kids at the waterfall) but once you get onto lewis and clark trail it's pretty quiet. Beautiful scenery, lovely field, a bit overgrown. Finding your way back is confusing because the markers are sparse, but it's not too hard to figure out.

this was an amazing trail. I got a little off course, but all the trails eventually connect.

This was a great trail (my first time hiking at this park). Plenty of shade, some parts were very narrow and overgrown, very little of the trail was not shaded. Some parts were muddy, but it was easy to walk around. Plenty of different trails to follow here so it was a little confusing at times to make sure I was on the right path. When hiking this trail I strongly recommend starting by going right. You will end your hike by a waterfall/swimming hole and pretty streams.

The first part of the trail (Cascade Trail) is HIGHLY trafficked. The second trail (Rockburn) is moderately trafficked. The third trail (Morning's Choice) is more lightly trafficked. Overall, this route is on the light side of moderate. Despite the rain recently, the trails were not muddy except in a couple places. Mornings Choice is deteriorating due to bike use.

Great route with a diversity of terrain and views from creeks to rivers, open fields, historic remains and trails along ridges and through wooded areas. Lovely and I highly recommend. Did this in January and there were a few icy segments yak tracks helped with for trail running, though I saw many hikers manage fine without. Also a great trail for bringing a dog.
