The parking lot and access road were closed so it was approximately a 2.5 mile paved walk along the river from where we parked to the trailhead. We saw deer and a variety of birds, including a falcon, heron, blue jay, and more. Although a nice area, even though we got an early start it was extremely crowded with very few people observing social distancing — so we turned back early.
I wandered around forever. Took the long walk in from the free parking by the big train tunnel. I’m exhausted. Not even sure yet if this is the proper trail to record my walk. Definitely started with Cascade Falls and looped around. 10:/10
Excellent hike. Will definitely do again. Had to backtrack twice but didn’t get too far off the trail. Went Tuesday morning at 10 and ran into about 5 people.
