Park at the Swinging Bridge. (Orange Grove Area). There is a restroom and water fountain in this location. Hike up the Cascade Falls Trail (BLUE) and take a few photos of the little falls. This trail has a few boulders to go over up at the falls. Beware of the weather because of water flows and a few stream crossings. The Cascade Falls Trail loop has changed a bit due to erosion issues. The Rootball Trail is permanently closed and is just about disappeared. The only option to the loop now is the Bike Buster. This trail is a bit rocky and a quick downhill if you are not careful. Muddy when wet.

6 Tenths of a mile up the Old River Road is access to a NEW TRAIL which connects to Garrett's Pass. - Garrett's Pass is now blazed in BLUE and has become part of the Cascade Trail System. - The New Trail is an added 8 tenths of a mile to the trail system. - It's the Cascade Ridge. - This evening I decided to do a short loop and stay close to a exit point because they were calling for a bad thunderstorm. - I heard the thunder and it's loud in the woods. - When the rain came I didn't even get wet because of the tree leaves. - The trails stayed dry but when I got to the parking lot it was raining pretty good. - I only got wet at my truck when leaving. - The Old River road trail is flat and partly paved but after that it's a long 1 mile climb to get to the top of the Bike Buster Ridge. - The rest is all downhill.

Pretty waterfall! Multiple stream crossings. A little muddy but not bad. Did in reverse (went uphill Bike Buster then onto Cascade) which was perfect

Beautiful views and a good hike! We cut across at the last mile or so because of time, but enjoyed the entire trip!

We parked on the south side on Landing Rd—just a little pull off there. Hiked on the east side of the trail, following the river downhill. We ended up at the trail head by the bridge (scary when walking across!!) we doubled back along the creek instead of doing the whole loop. It got fairly dark by 430pm! And all uphill back was quite the burn
