With the weather being so iffy it's tough to make a decision. Rain over night and muddy trails. The sky is gray and looks like it's going to rain. Hike or Bike in the rain. Sweat in a Poncho. Today, I decided to HIKEa short loop of my own. I don't like out and back type trails when hiking. I always think about shelters if it gets really bad out. My only problem I have here is that I am a Senior and it can get very hot in the summer. - Part of today loop was shaded.

One of my favorites for half marathon training. There are a few options to park near it, depending on what it convenient. Perfect for long runs! Whenever I have 8-10 miles to do, I do it hear, so I'm away from my car, and I can push through. There are some slight hills throughout, so be mindful of that for running. Lots to look at, and lots of people out on it constantly. The only downfall are some of the crosswalks, since drivers aren't considerate (or law abiding).

Awesome trail with a lot to see. It can be a little complicated at certain points but overall excellent. It can be hard at times and be careful of sharp downhill turns. It's ideal for road bikes.

good training loop; more likely to try loop if riding an endurance road bike

I definitely would not rate this as moderate -- it's predominately flat. While it's a long trail at almost 11 miles, it's paved and very easy terrain. If you're a local runner, it's a great way to get in miles!

Mostly well marked, a little confusing on the northwestern portion. Basically stick to the black asphalt. Urban hiking, not a nature walk.

Good for a flat, long walk or hike. A little boring though, and not much to see. Definitely a better bike trail than hiking.

Easy to navigate. The uphills are easy to tackle since they are all short. Perfect for cycling warm-ups and exercise.

Nice trail, good for all skill levels. Try to get there early on days when the weather is really good, parking lot fills fast & stays full. You may be able to find parking on a side street nearby.

Nice paved trail with pretty scenery along the way. There are a couple road crossings, but nothing too hairy.

This is a paved trail that is good for riding road bikes or walking. There's a pretty steep hill on the north west side of the airport so be prepared to climb a little. The trail can be a bit crowded as it is only about as wide as one car. There are also some wooden bridges that cross some of the marsh land surrounding the airport. It's a very nice trail, and highly recommended. Extend your ride down to Annapolis by connecting with the B&A Trail on the south side of the BWI loop.
