HikingGreat!

Why BOB? Lol. Should be Steller. Ha. The hike very intense. But a great ending. Had mishap on trail. Lost Raybans after a hard fall. Another awesum hiker put them in tree over trail. Hikers are such a different breed of people. Always looking out for each other. We found them. Stay strong and carry on. Hike America.

Wtf is Bob and why couldn’t he have a smaller hill? This was a pretty difficult hike for someone like me. I’m too old for this sht. I was determined to get up that hill and like Forrest Gump, I just kept on going. My legs were so tired that even walk back down Bobs hill hurt. The overlook will be better in the fall or winter. Overall a great hike, just need new legs for it. Note to self, next time bring a flask!

I started at the Manor Visitor’s Center trailhead for Bob’s Hill and followed signs where it joined the Catoctin Trail. Beautiful day. Well marked trail but tough incline that is almost constant up to Bob’s Hill. I had the Bob’s Hill overlook mostly to myself for an hour or so. It was a nice payoff. Mostly shady and path is rocky. It’s tough to look around while you are concentrating on your foot falls. After the trail, relax near the stream beside the ample parking lot.

Steady incline with lot of loose rocks. Easy to follow trail. View is ok, blocked by a lot of trees (mid August) A lot of parking available at all times on weekends. Finished the whole thing in 1.5 hours.

Steady uphill climb to the top! South overlook is better than the north view. Recent rains made the descent a little slippery because of the mud.

Nice morning hike. Don't forget to go to the left and right overlook trails at the top at Bob's overlook.

It’s a great hike, and a good workout. Definitely rocky, so bring your boots! 4 stars because it didn’t have many lookouts, probably beautiful in the fall! Beautiful, well maintained, trail!

This is really a moderate trail - not sure why it’s rated as hard. Very clear path straight up as others had said. But not particularly steep. As a hard trail it was lackluster and too crowded for my taste. But probably a good hike for a family looking for something more than a nature walk. Rocks at the top were small but nice.

Nice steep hike with great views at the top. The trail was dry and fairly empty. We passed only two couples and one guy on the trail. I give 4 starts because it’s not as spectacular as some of the hikes found on the West but for the area this is 5 start worthy.

A tough but kind of boring hike up with a very nice view at the top. There are also many rocks to climb on if you want.

Great but challenging hike. Mostly uphill on the way in. Nice lookouts at the top to rest and enjoy the beautiful view.

Came in the middle of the week and only saw 3 other groups. Hill is a nice challenge. Was able to make it with the German Shepard with out any issues. Went to both overlooks, each has some rocks to rest at and eat a snack.

Great hike. Hill in begining is quite challenging. Wish the overlooks had better views . Trail well kept.

A few parts have some encroaching weeds and brush that affect your ascent. Be prepared for some yardwork on the steep but brief intervals. Also, spotted about 8 different blue-tailed skinks, so look out and listen for scurrying.

Nice short cardio hike, it's a climb for only 1.9 miles, very shaded, beautiful right now. Very lush/green.

The trailhead is right inside one of the entrances to Cunningham Falls State Park, so make sure you have money for the entrance fee. The trail itself is nice- shaded, pretty ferns along the way, fairly well maintained. There’s not much of a view from the top of the hill as other reviews point out. I would rate this hike more moderate than hard, but it’s a good short hike if you want to get out and get your heart pumping.

From trailhead up and back is exactly 3 miles. Great fitness hill. We’ve been doing this one every day, and it comes in at 35 minutes to the top, and a few more than that back down, slightly over an hour without heavy packs. The last 0.1 mile up is a killer.

Beautiful lush ferns abound along the trail! Very rocky, and pretty straight up hiking for 1.5 + miles. Under whelming view from the top but we were seeking a good cardio workout which it delivered. Bring your bug spray.

Long slow climb to the top with little to no break in the climb which makes it a great hill challenge. Then good views and all downhill back to the car.

South overlook is a bit less obstructed by trees than the north overlook, but not much worth the long uphill hike (unless training per other reviewers suggestion). The view from White Rock on the neighboring path/mountain is much clearer.

Decent hike but it's $3-5 to get in and in my opinion the views aren't really worth that.
