Baltimore Waterfront Promenade: Canton Waterfront Park to Fells Point is a 4.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Baltimore, Maryland that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, and road biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
This is a nice walk along the waterfront. Accessibility: There are 2 designated handicapped-accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of Boston Street at the east end of the trail. Both of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved or brick and typically at least 12 feet wide. The estimated grade is gentle (3% or less). This trail will likely be navigable for most wheelchairs/mobility equipment or strollers.
The ride was okay with the exception of the Promenade was closed due to construction and I had to ride on the streets that has big cobblestone for pavement
Great run, beautiful evening sunset views over the water. Run was actually > 5mi, I forgot to record the first half
I wouldn’t classify this as hiking, it’s a paved walking/running/biking space. Parts of the promenade are under construction and you have to go around past the warehouse on to the road and back down. Really interrupts a good run but most people just deal with it- it’s beautiful to look at the water on a nice sunny day. Watch out for bikers especially around turns as it’s hard to see whats coming from the other way often.
The problem with the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, and Canton is all the trash in the water. I would give it a higher rating if the water wasn't full of plastic, trash, and debris.
If your dog breed overheats really fast, this isn’t the place for you, unless you go right before the sun goes down. There’s no shade. The water is nasty and polluted. Besides all that, it’s a good place to walk/run. Idk why ppl in the reviews said it was beautiful because when I went, it was okay
Starred at tide point, UA hq and walked to Canton Park. Great views and nice breeze on 97• day. 4.5 miles with a nice cold beverage at the Boathouse. If your too tired to walk back or just want a different perspective. Take the water taxi $8 or water circulator $0 back to your starting point
Beautiful views of the water all along this walk. At one point you can see views of a lighthouse, the Inner Harbor and ships. Keep in mind it is in the city though and to watch your surroundings at all times. I recommend this with your dog. Lots of sights to see. One of my favorite walks in the city. Water Taxi connects to the Promenade as does the new Baltimore Bicycles (by the way are partially electric powered) If you get tired just rent a bike for $2. Handicap or older people make sure to get the bike with the electric bolt for the partial power. Had a heart surgery a little over a year ago and I was able to ride this bike with ease.
