We started off on Rt70 which was a little disappointing but once away from the highway and noise it was very enjoyable. Great views and the hike was rewarding but not difficult. Will definitely be going again!
I give this hike five stars for a couple of reasons. The length makes it a pretty nice workout for all levels. There are no entry fees and it is accessible from route 40- pretty easy to find and parking is doable. The views are fantastic.
Loved it!!! It was our first and I can't wait for the next adventure
A moderate hike with one of the best views in the area. The overlook is simply breathtaking.
Fairly easy hike in, and a nice run out! Take the extra mile and go up to Black Rock too. The view is worth it!
Nice mild workout!!! I've been trying to get my other half to join the dog and I so this went over well. Got a nice sweat going and cooled off on the way back since it was pretty much all downhill. It's still very wet, muddy, and snowy in some parts of the trail but it's not unbearable. Would like to do this trail again on a sunny warm day!!!
Fun little hike. Did it as part of the longer Appalachian trail from I70 to pogo campsite.
