HikingGreat!

Quick and easy way to get to the peak summit. Steep but worth it as you can then do the loop from there to get to White Rocks overlook.

Spectacular views as with all of Sugarloaf. Tough accent but moderate otherwise.

Giving it 3 stars since I can’t give it a 3.5. Fun local trail, nice ups and downs, and pretty wooded scenery although not much variety. Was challenging enough, especially at the top. View at top was nice, typical of this general region, but viewing area was quite small. Public spaces and parking areas were nice and well-kept. Really great for young families or casual hikers. Nothing too special for experienced hikers (aka I’m spoiled lol).

I just wish the yellow trail connected back to the white trail without bushwhacking through the woods otherwise I love it

Tough trail, lots of rocks and up-hill climbing but it’s fun. Kids can do it but maybe over the age of 3. They have porta potties all over the park which is really helpful and tons of picnic tables for lunch. Take the orange trail (Sunrise Trail) for more of a challenge starting out. Come back around on the white trail.

Sunrise, is one of the most challenging trails I've ever been on. I am so glad BGH- PG did it.

This is an easy, quick hike that provides an above-average view from the top. This hike will leave ample time for the rest of your afternoon, as it is very short.

Trail is rocky, but very shaded. Parking is extremely hard. East overlook is better scenery that west overlook. There is a super high incline between Orange Trail (East Overlook) to get to green trail (west overlook).

Good family day trip. Yes, there are a lot of stairs toward the summit and for those who are choosing to make this hike their very first, be careful because it takes a bit of an effort so take breaks when you need.

I've done this twice. Both times after long hikes the same weekend. Still totally worth it. Very family and dog friendly. Beautiful views. Need to come out this way more often.

First to Review

Started with a portion of the Orange Trail but too much debris around the trail from a storm caused us to turn back and take the Blue Trail. After a steep and rocky climb up to the top, our group did a loop around the Blue Trail before heading back to our cars. The weather was supposed to be wintry but the sun luckily shined throughout the entire hike.
