Nice walk on the carriage roads. Steady incline in areas, particularly from the Visitor Center. Not much scenery once you get away from the pond.

Awesome ride. A bit of a rough uphill start for younger folks (<10yr) but a nice trail that is easy to manage and has great views of several lakes!

The hills up make the downhills so gratifying. Great trail for my family biking trip.

Easy carriage road trail - plenty of ducks in the ponds. Light snow flurries add a touch of magic. Nice rest from the rock scrambles elsewhere in Acadia.

If you go from Hulls visitor center to this trail you will have a challenging ascent so much so many people walking their bike up. Beautiful stretches of forest, water etc.

It was an easy hike, with perfect weather and great views of the pond and surrounding marshes. Leaves were already changing.

Biked this trail with our 2.5 yo and 6 month old. Hilly but not any bad ascents. Nice places to stop and let our 2.5 yo explore. Pretty views of ponds.

Hiking

A roughly 5 mile back-and-forth with a slight descent to start (approx. 300 ft.) and the reverse back. Gravel path the whole way (seemingly an old carriage road that's become overgrown in parts). The trail is clear but no blazes.

From Bayview proceeded up Duck Brook Trail to the Duck Brook Bridge. Went counterclockwise around loop up to Witch Hole Pond. Came across a young mule deer and a few turtles in the pond area. Continued around and stumbled across old quarry before returning. A nice 10K loop from the Bayview Mansion!

Path is wide and crushed stone. Great for biking though we walked. It is nice to have the option to do a shorter loop which we took advantage of. Pretty views of the pond. Good for all skill levels.

Easy trail for hiking, snowshoeing, and biking. Trail is mostly gravel and is very wide. Lots of beautiful views of wildlife, bogs, meadows, and ponds. Best parking options are Hulls Cove Visitor Center, Eagle Lake lot near Park Headquarters, and a smaller parking area off of Duck Brook Bridge Road.

Nice loop trail that’s fairly short (~5miles) and fairly flat. You can add on some length with going partly or all way around Eagle Lake.

A one hour loop where we skipped the Eagle Lake section of the trails. A few uphill climbs but not too strenuous. My 7 & 9 year old sons did it and loved it. Gorgeous views!

Very nice, wide open carriage trail. Enter in the visitor center and the trail head is located at the far back of the parking lot, past the bus stops. Very steep incline at the first 1/4-1/2 mile, but then levels out. Great for bikes and strollers. Loop was around 4.7 miles.

The carriage road to Witch Hole Pond is easily accessed from the Visitor Center. A pleasant walk to Witch Hole Pond along a graveled path shared with bike riders makes for an enjoyable family walk. People of all ages and mobility challenges would enjoy this. You'll have to catch your breath - not due to physical exertion, but because Acadia is such a beautiful park. I joined this with other trails and carriage paths to get to Jordan Pond.

Walked/hiked a couple times over the years. Relatively flat and easy, but it's a pretty boring trail. Much more scenic routes in the park!
