This is a great short trail. It is well marked, well-maintained, and highly trafficked. There’s plenty of parking at the base, and a fire tower that is open year-round at the top. This is one of my favorite winter hikes, but it’s great for all seasons.

very limited parking that overflows onto narrow road. trail great. trail maps, including All Trails, are incomplete and inaccurate. trails well blazed and trail signs for Tower and Ledges trails are good and we didn't get lost. Great views from old fire tower.

If you are afraid of heights, this is NOT for you. The summit is still under the tree line and it takes climbing a tower 8 flights of stairs high to get the view you worked for. If you can take a deep breath and get up the tower, it’s amazing. Trees as far as the eye can see and a lake in the distance. Worth it. Hiked August 1, 2020.

Tower trail is great, great markers, the tower itself offers a great view. You can go back down the same way or cross over to Bluberry to head down. Also the road is a choice as well.

Walked up and back on a hot day with a six year old. The trail is clear and good to walk - it was dry today but is clearly muddy when wet. The tower at the top probably has amazing views but we definitely have fear of heights and so we didn’t climb it. Not crowded.

Agree with the previous review that if you are not planning on climbing the tower, no point in driving any distance to do this hike. Easy climb but if you have a baby in a backpack, no rewarding views at the top.

Great trail, most of it is uphill, with a few rocky areas and a little muddy. Most of the walk is in thick woods and we saw lots of animals (chipmunks, birds and a porcupine) A very peaceful and quiet walk and the birds were singing the entire time. The old fire tower is a little rickety at the top. Amazing views at the top of the fire tower.

Fun trail. Well marked. Lot’s of bridges which my 4 year old loved. Waterproof footwear is a good idea in the spring. Great views from the fire tower.
