Absolutely breath taking! This is my new favorite hike of all time. Climbing the rungs makes it so exciting!
amazing! great views, our 7yo was a little nervous but she did AMAZING! highly recommend. not for kids under 5 or 6 as they just won't be able to reach the rungs!
Really great hike that is a must when visiting Acadia! It is a pretty short loop with moderate elevation gain on the way up, as you navigate areas with iron climbing rails and cliff edges (not a favorite hike for those who are afraid of heights!). Overall spectacular views on the way up and at the peak, would highly recommend! Also prepare for a crowded hike - this is a fan favorite. What a fun hike. It’s very vertical - VERY vertical and if you have vertigo or a fear of heights, be prepared to conquer them on this hike. It was a bit crowded on a Friday morning as we had to wait for a group ahead of us, but it was fine. It’s challenging but fun, with a beautiful view at the top as a reward. There are many metal stairs in place as hand and foot holds. Critical to success!
A really good hike if you don’t mind heights! Getting up there is a bit scary but the views are beautiful!
Great, baby version of the Precipice. Weather was clear and sunny when we went. Took us about 1:45 to complete which includes Bowl trail down and site seeing at top. Don’t bring extra crap like umbrellas, heavy backpacks, etc. Saw a cool pink frog on the way down.
Second trip up Beehive this week. First was spoiled due to fog...had to get the view today. Wonderful hike. Completed around 4pm and the trail was not busy at all.
Really challenging and difficult but totally worth it!! Spectacular views from the summit!
Watch the weather before you head out, the rungs and rocks get very slippery
