HikingGreat!Rocky

Beautiful hike through the forest. Saw lots of squirrels and chickadees, plus awesome forest views everywhere. Our two pups handled it fine, just had to take it slow over some features. Parked at Blueberry hill lot, hiked up anvil and down alder.

HikingGreat!

Very good hike and a bit of a workout, but very enjoyable. Very lite traffic today. Not many views but just being out and hiking it was worth the day.

Great, well maintained trail. Great views from both Anvil and from the top of Schoodic of the surrounding islands and harbor.

Very crowded on a Thursday in late August. Very rocky and rooty. If you start from Schoodic Trail it pretty much goes straight up but is easy going down. Not totally worth it from the view stand point, but a good hike with the dog nonetheless

Moderate, tough vertical at times. Great shoes and poles recommended. Amazing views and scenic overlooks!

First part steep and needs to be better marked. The anvil trail is much better marked

Lovely foggy hike. No view today. But also not too hot and no bugs.

Beautiful hike, started on gravel bike trail, crossed over to the hiking trail which I much preferred. This track was on several hiking trails before Rea Hong Schoodic Point. Blueberry Hill trail was the best, with views plus cool rock formations.

Beautiful trail and views! While not difficult overall, it does have a few of steep sections. Well maintained and marked. “Steps” of rock and wood make the steep sections doable. Wildflowers, moss and a huge variety of trees, bushes, ferns and other plants make for a beautiful hike.

Did the Anvil in and East Trail out + rock hoping on the shore back. The kids (9/11) loved the latter part, I would rate the Anvil as the most interesting section. Very quite and beautiful forest with overlooks once in a while. Quite and not challenging but loved it for the nature experience. Nor hard bit also not boring easy.

Fun, short hike. Trail had everything from soft paths through forest to some scrambles up boulders. challenging enough to be interesting, easy enough for a casual hike.

This is one of the best Maine hikes. Beautiful forest (lots of moss and wild blueberries), scenic overlooks, topographical changes, and it ends up at the coast! At points, it is a bit difficult to find the way, or to scramble up or down the rocks, but definitely worth it.

I loved this - short but quite challenging with rock scrambling. I did a loop and went up Anvil, over and down Schoodic Head Trail, and back to the start via the Alder Trail. I did the 2.65 loop with my dog in about 75 minutes.

We did this down from Schoodic Head and found it pretty easy going. It just seemed longer than what the map said. Combination of steps and roots and ups to go down.
