Trail hard to find

over grown

Very overgrown, not well-marked, buggy. After much back and forth, losing the trail (even with GPS), finding it and losing it again, I turned back after a mile. It is mid-July-maybe it is better other times of year?

Did this hike in the fall with our dog. It was a very nice and relaxing hike. The path goes through a variety of terrain, but nothing hard at all. We actually did not make it to the picnic tables on the lake as we started late, it was getting dark, and we had to make a choice. I think we were probably 15 min away or so from the end, but anyways, we enjoyed all of it, and will definitely do it again.

A long walk through nice mixed forest. Lots of raspberry bramble. Damp trail means lots of biting bugs but also frogs, snakes and birds. The trail we walked is out and back, not a loop. Picnic table at edge of lake where the trail ends. Id rate this easy. Similar to hatchery brook just much longer.

South Bog Trail is a quiet trail located on the southern shore of Rangeley Lake. It's a long, beautiful walk in and a great trail to spend some time on with your family. There's an interpretive section of the trail for visitors.
