This loop trail is an easy walk in the woods but not marked real well, especially around the beach, camping area and the private property. It is a nice walk nonetheless. Because of all the pooling water along this trail bugs could be a major issue as it warms up. My husband did bring a fishing pole along and stopped to fish in the Songo river in a couple spots. You should be prepared as you enter the trailhead here as there is an honor system usage fee box: $4.50 for locals, $6.50 for out-of-staters.
