Really nice mostly flat well groomed trail. Shade and sun a few nice views. But quiet and a beautiful place for a walk. But put on bug spray.

Fantastic trails that are well maintained and marked. Wide enough for social distancing. Horse and riders on the trails too so be aware your dog might take a roll in p**p. Of course a little dip in a pond will help rinse off!

Great day for a walk, easy stroll and only a couple hunters out. So many trails did not follow exact route, basically just wandering around

An easy trail. A bunch of loop trails off the main trail. Lots of wildlife in the area, and a few different small ponds. Bring a fishing rod.

Gentle trail system that well marked. We went down the road and into a trail leading to the train tracks. Great lookout spot at a point by a pond. Peaceful spot to watch ducks and dragonflies. The walk back on the tracks led to another trail, reconnecting with the road back. Great for a simple walk if you don't have a lot of time. Would be great for trail running due to the condition of the trails.

Trails are in good shape, and plenty of parking around to make this an easy hike. There’s several interconnecting trails so you can customize your route plus a few ponds for your dog to swim or even fish if you want.

Nothing better than a cold day in Maine. Snow is bright and packed from snowmobiles. The Hawk trail makes for a great loop. Don't let the cold weather keep you indoors.

These reviews are for the trails them selves, not the pedestrians they come across. *Great hike with my dog and my 6 year old daughter.

this was actually a good day out biking. it would have been 5 stars except for the bridge crossing. first time through a group of kids were blocking the path. they had absolutely zero respect for anyone. we stopped so they could step aside and let us through. as we passed, o e of the kids grabbed the safety flag of the trailer I was pulling with my dog in it. the kid snapped the flag right in half. on the way back through, I gave the kids plenty of notice when I asked if they would step aside this time and let us pass. this time they wound up forcing my trailer, with my dog in it, over the edge of the trail into the railroad tracks. this turned into a very mouthy 13 or so year old being a complete ass. really took a lot out of what could have been a perfect day.

I love bringing my dog to this trail for walks. Unfortunately, not all dog owners keep their dogs on a leash. We only had a close call once, most other dogs are good when off their leash. They have been doing a lot of work lately in creating new trails, their is plenty of tree coverage in the summer and nice wide trails.

Running

Started from MDT at what I assume is near mile marker 17 and ran down the STS trail to mile marker 13. It was just the run I was looking for! No cars to worry about, beautifully maintained, just enough people to let you know you're not alone. I was going to just walk it, maybe a few miles and turn back. I didn't expect to like it enough to go 8miles! It is paved, except the MDT, but the way I went it was downhill out and uphill back, which saved my knees for sure. I'll do this one again for sure! Maybe work up to doing the whole thing!

First to Review

I've walked this trail many times - never all the way in one session though. Today we walked from South Windham back towards Sebago - the snow is basically all gone and aside from a few muddy spots off the paved trail, it's in really good shape. Lots of warblers, chickadees and phoebe's singing away and not that many people on the trail. My son biked while the dog and I hiked along. Very relaxing!
