My boyfriend and I had a great hike! It was our first one of the year. The maps weren't noticeable until we returned to our car and had accidentally grabbed the wrong one. Barely any mosquitoes. Trail signs were written making it hard to read them.

I had intended to start at the 117 trailhead but the road was closed due an accident so I found the first Sawyer trail parking lot, there is a second just a tiny bit farther down Sawyer Mountain Road. Definitely like parking there better. Did Hosac first, terrible idea. Legs were shot for Sawyer. But beautiful views, mosquitos weren’t too bad.

Good hike I would say definitely not kid friendly. Very steep and rocky lots of mosquitoes. When up to the top around the loop and back was just about 4 and a 1/2 5 miles

First part is good, right side all rocks and a lot of mosquitoes. View from top is great. Hosac mtn was confusing but worth it. You have to walk on the road all the way up the mtn. There is no path for that one and it is all sun. But beautiful at top. Picnic table for a lunch.

Dog friendly, second mountain was all paved roads and kind of confusing, wasn’t marked to summit Hosac mountain but a great view at the top. Kind of weird the All trails map brings you through a private property sign to Hosac mountain, but we went through and followed the trail and was able to summit.

Had a great view of Sebago Lake and surrounding mountain ranges on the summit of Hasoc. Also an awe inspiring view of Limington with the sun setting behind it on the summit of Sawyer. Heavy snowmobile traffic during winter. Steep paved road up to the summit of Hasoc which was unexpected. Interesting residents alongside the trail— Before turning right onto Nason, there’s a house with fenced in dogs that bark like crazy, which was alarming. Also some interesting cemeteries along the trail.. Overall, the views made it worth it, but some weird vibes and energy with the trail-side cemeteries and protective residents.

Great mile with our 3 young girls.

Ventured on the Sawyer Mtn Road trail to the summit of Sawyer Mountain for some winter hiking today, after some fresh snow. While we didn't need our snowshoes, the microspikes were almost required with the layer of sneaky ice under the new snow. There were many small fallen trees to hike around in the ravine area (trail work in the spring could fix this.) The ice and tree dodging made this trek longer than expected. All in all a fun time that took about 2 hours to the summit and 1 hour back down. Next time we'll try the Sherwood Libby Trail (longer trail).

Was surprised the hike up Hosac was mainly paved roads. Steep at times but what a view! Dogs, though chained up, were a bit intimidating as we walked by them just before you turn right on Nason Rd turn towards Hosac.
