Hike at low tide. The public preserve portion of the trail along the water is well-maintained and interesting. The hike requires good balance on boards over marshy areas and a willingness to bed over and walk without raising your head to go through a 4-foot high tunnel to reach the Glidden Midden. The portion of the trail on private property is much less well maintained. It lacks boards in wet sections, is overgrown in others, and yesterday swarmed with very hungry mosquitoes in low areas!

Beautiful views and a unique layout

The trail along the water was very good. It is an easy hike with decent views. Your better off turning around at the pipe that goes under the road. The pipe is not tall enough for an adult and is very awkward. After that the other half of the trail is very unkept with thorns and no great views.
