We did west trail and loved it. Great view of the shoreline - slightly better when it’s high tide. A few places were tricky (short, but steep incline- with rocks and roots). Sunny day and most of the trail was shady.

Beautiful trail that was well marked for most of the time. Not very busy but parking lot was full when we returned to our vehicle. Due to social distancing the trail requests that it be completed clockwise. Note that when you cross the bridge to complete the west side you need to go right not left. Definitely not an advanced trail. Fairly easy going Overall a great trail and would be back again

Beautiful! Took my dogs on the trail. The older, smaller one needed some help but easily manageable for my younger, bigger dog!

Amazing hike with scenic outlooks! Well marked trail. Pony siting! Took about 2 hours, stopped to rest a few times and to enjoy the views. Easy parking.

We hiked the west and east shoreline trail. The east was the easier trail but not it’s not your boardwalk type trail. I enjoyed the view from the bridge and the western side rocky views from the east. Side. We hiked October6th and it was cool and breezy. We were not bothered by bugs or ticks though we came prepared with DEET and head nets. We did not have a muddy trail but I would recommend hiking boots as there are lots of rocks and roots to navigate. It took us 2 and a half hours with some short stops along the way . It was a very enjoyable day..

Went on this hike because it was highly recommended by locals. After the hike we noticed our dog was INFESTED with TICKS (as small as poppy seeds) and fleas like we’ve never seen in our lives!!! Thankfully I treat her monthly BUT there’s no treatment for humans!!! Check yourselves, take a shower immediately & wash your clothing!!! Massive mosquitoes & super muddy!

Nice trail overall. Offers great rest points with beautiful views. The only caution I have is regarding the mud. Maybe my experience was different to other hikers but I noticed more than a few muddy areas. Either way I would suggest this hike to friends. Boots and bug spray recommended. Enjoy!

Really nice short and easy hike. Beautiful views of the river on the back side. Very quiet and great for dogs, couple spots to swim. It's a little muddy, wear boots!

A nice trail along the lake. Muddy in a few spots but not bad. Good views of the water, well marked.

The dog who lives across the street joined us and led the way which made it even more enjoyable. Some muddy spots, well marked, gorgeous landscape and we were completely alone.

A mostly well marked trail. The last part of the white trail loop was difficult to navigate. Could be because we were looking where we were going because of ice and didn’t pay close enough attention to the markers. It’s a great easy hike. Great views of the beautiful waterway and rocky outcrops. Some uphill but mostly flat. Good for kids, dogs, anyone. If you wanted to cross the bridge to the west side of ovens mouth it would be a nice long walk, because of ice and littles we cut it shorter.
