Noyes Mountain Trail is a 2.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Greenwood, Maine that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from May until November.
Had to ask locals about trail head. Not marked and map will bring you to an old mineral quarry. Found it only after talking to locals. Followed old atv trail. Trail not maintained and hard to follow near top. Even though we made it to the top per the map on this app, never saw views or any outlook. Disappointing overall.
Not an easy trail to find or follow. Most people just hike randomly to the cliff and then climb to the summit. Lots of old logging roads where used when the quarries were active. Apparently you can reach the summit from either Richardson Hollow Road or Greenwood Rd.
View was worth the hike. But trail was difficult to find and at times follow.
