Really nice walk along the river. The little pond at the trail head is a really good birding spot. There were lots of warblers. A little muddy in spots but not bad.

This was an easy one mile loop. The kids enjoyed the bridges, the water views, and the area where you can put canoes in/ fish/ walk down to the water. Slightly mudding in spots but nothing crazy. The parking lot isn't huge. Fits maybe 4-5 cars.

We love this trail. The loop is just over a mile, great for kids. They love the bridge, and water. Wear boots in the Spring!

Fun in the snow. Not too long. Nice bridges/planks. Could have used snow shoes but not required. Well marked with blazes and signage.

Good little loop! Walking trail is fairly well groomed and marked. great place to bring the door kids! The actual trail is only 1.2 miles. You can continue out of the preserve for the extra 0.7 miles.

We (3 kids 10-13 and two adults) really enjoyed this walk, beautiful forrest & river views. Although we were walking in boots without snowshoes (only I had Yactracks) it was easy enough. there was a solid ice base with ~6" of snow. We appreciated the bridges and the fact that some of the trail had no snowmobiles (although the folks we encountered on the sled part of the trail were courteous). It was difficult to determine where to park, we parked by the locked gate behind Great Falls School, but I am guessing that it isn't an ideal parking spot if anyone were at the school.

This was a nice little walk. We brought our dog and kept her on leash. We did the loop trail and then followed the path (off trail) along the river until you get to some sort of water pumping station.
