One of my favorite within 90 minutes of Portland. Get a little of everything. Fairly easy with a few strenuous climbs.

90% of this trail was awesome! What a great challenge for someone training to do the bigger mountains in NH. Warning: after maiden head cliff, this takes you to the bottom and has you follow the road for a bit. This leads you to a trail that is extremely poorly marked! Lost it so many times and ended up in the middle of no where. Definitely stick to the marked trail and you’ll have a much more enjoyable hike!

I tried to do this loop, but ran out of time at the end. Not a hard hike at all except for the length of it. No scrambling or anything like that.
Views were of course amazing.
I don't know why this app has you walking the road though? The rangers talked me out of that. Up Megunticook, across the ridge to Maidens Cliff, loop back a bit and then take Jack W trail to the Tablelands...wish I'd finished and gone up Battie at the end.
