HikingGreat!

Nice hike through the woods to some spectacular views at the top. A little anticlimactic when you see the parking lot at the peak!

Nice, short hike up Mt. Battie. View is beautiful at the tower. My favorite part about this hike is the trail. Mt. Battie, although beautiful, is a tourist trap at the top. I like to hike to get away from the hustle and bustle.

HikingGreat!

This was the trail I chose to do as my first solo hike up a mountain and it was amazing. I am 49 years old and for the past year I have been overcoming health issues and improving lifestyle choices to include increased physical activity. The hiking bug has bitten me and I look forward to the many mountains I will climb one step and one trail at a time!

Well maintained trail, easy enough for this inexperienced hiker, a Florida gal with total knee replacement, to complete less than 2 months before my 69th birthday.

This out and back trail was fairly easy but a bit slippery in some parts. The trail is entirely in the forest except for the view at the end. If it’s foggy outside the hike isn’t worth it as you can’t see anything from the top of the mountain.

This was a great trail for my son and I. He was tired at the end of it and I would rate it easy even maybe moderate. We parked at the top summit of Mt. Battie and walked this trail, coming to RT 52 and then turned back and headed back up the mountain. The trails are very well maintained and it is beautiful at the top.

Easy fun hike with great views. Beware of the brown tail moths. If you get the caterpillar hairs on you it causes an intense itching.
