Moose River Trail is a 27.9 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Jackman, Maine that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until September.
Moose river is a multiple day canoeing trip in Jackman, reaching Holeb pond you must navigate dirt logging roads. once you arrive at Holeb pond you canoe across the pond to an inlet starting the 27 mile river. The river has multiple camping sites along the way with two portages, one being a mile trek through the woods on a trail to skip some rapids and a waterfall. the trip requires two vehicles, rain gear, firewood, water filtering, plenty of food, tents, and a canoe or a kayak.
