Beautiful walk. I was a little confused finding the trail.. you have to pass through “private way” to get to it. So glad I asked someone where the trail was, totally worth it!

Easy hike, perfect for the dogs too! It was gorgeous fall when I went and it was perfect. We were the only ones there.

Beautiful, easy trail. Limited parking. :(

Beautiful if you can find a spot to park.

As another reviewer said, there are only 4 parking spots, and you are not allowed to park along the shoulder, so a backup plan is a good idea. The parking lot is actually 500 yards or so from the trail head, so just walk straight ahead down the dirt road and you’ll see it on the right hand side. The trail is very easy to traverse, and well-kept, and there are a couple of nice little lookout spots. But it’s a long drive for a short walk, and I’m glad we did it on the way home from Harpswell Cliffs.

Great, quiet place. Only 4 parking spots. So have a backup plan if parking is full.

Daytime visitors are welcome to walk the 1.3 mile loop trail along the road then hugging the coast. The trail is largely dry and well maintained, but contains many split log or parallel plank bridges which require balance and shoes with traction. Trails are not suitable for baby carriages. Along the trail, you will find numerous scenic viewpoints, tide pools and ledges, and a picnic area.

This is a beautiful quiet trail, only found 1 tick on the dog once we left. It is about a 5 minute walk down a private road until you get to the trail head from the parking lot.

This Preserve is frequently at capacity, any time of day, any time of year, requiring visitors arriving by car to turn around and go elsewhere. Parking rules are simple: Four cars only. Only in the parking lot. Sunrise to sunset. Never on the shoulders. Never at the end of the lane.

Connecting trails are:
Royal River Water Trail (Sabbathday to the Sea)
Maine Island Trail: Casco Bay
