Small, uncrowded, well maintained day park with great views of Mount Desert Island. A nature trail and a clean sandy beach. Lots of picnic tables and lawn for frisbee, kickball, or other yard games above the beach. Convenient and easy sea kayak or canoe launching next to a new boat ramp and dock where fishing for Atlantic Mackerel is popular. A large play ground and volleyball court. Pet friendly. The park has facilities for primitive or RV camping but the campers do not impose on the beach and dock areas. The harbor has guests moorings and is used by working lobsterman and pleasure boaters.

Pretty views of Cadillac Mountain across the water, but why is it $6 to park? It's a tiny park with a parking lot and that's about it...
