Walking

Have done this trail in each season except Spring (I’m sure that will happen in a few months). Was surprisingly busy there today, at least in the parking lot. Didn’t see anybody on the trail though, but could hear people off in the distance. The dogs loved it.

Needed a new trail during covid times for my 3year old. He loved all the rocks, ledges, and cliffs. 100% recommend

Still love seeing the giant rock wall out there. I’ve said this about other trails I’ve done this Fall that I have also done in the Summer, and that is, the view through the woods is pretty cool with the leaves off of the trees. As expected, it really opens things up, depending on what trail your hiking or walking.

I wanted to love this trail but I only liked it. Sometimes hard to follow blazes because you need to walk the trail counterclockwise due to Covid. Quite a few times I had to stop to be sure I was on the trail. Lots of roots and loose rocks, watch your step. Neat rock formations. Very quiet, only saw 2 couples, one of course not following counterclockwise directions. For me it was too many elevation changes because I have a foot/leg injury so it was painful at points especially when elevation changed and trail narrows. Luckily my partner was with me and I was able to complete trail. While I enjoyed the rocks there are much nicer, better maintained trails in the area. A+ for clean trails. Only one wrapper and one dog pile. C for trail. Doubt I'd do again and probably not alone or just me and the pup.

Nice, quiet, local path to enjoy the fall foliage. More of a trail than a hike. The beginning of the trail is quite wide, but the middle section is quite narrow (about a foot wide) and almost overgrown. Lots of cool boulders and large rock formations to enjoy.

Nature tripsGreat!

Took my 4 year old and one year old today. I wore my one year old and the 4 year old hiked like a champ! It was a little tough for her, but she did it! Slightly bigger kids would love this well-marked, beautiful trail!

A pretty massive rock structure that was impressive to see. I didn’t expect that. The trail was very well maintained too.

Short trail but challenging, lots of hills and rocky areas. Small cliffs are interesting.Trail is clearly marked on one side of the loop but not so much on the other side, be cautious at roughly made intersections. GPS is spotty throughout the trail. Overall a good hike!

Very cool trail with ledges. Some varied terrain up, down, over etc. I imagine young kids would love the rocks. Fairly easy, but some up and down.

Nothing spectacular. The ledges were very impressive and is an easy spot to tire the dog out while on vacation. The trail is an easy walk but a bit overgrown in some places while others were nice and wide. Very buggy after a rainy day.

I walked this yesterday 56* sunny in Maine , that was a treat. Small parking lot. trail well marked( BLUE ). Old foundation and lots of great stonewalls. some of the largest ground ledges I have seen in the area, very cool.
