Starting out from a well marked trailhead, follow a well travelled trail up Jockey Cap. Passing by boulders for exploring, you are able to see glimpses of the cliffs through the trees. The trail goes up and around to the back of the small mountain where it breaks through the forest and up onto the cliffs. From the top there are great views of the mountains of Western Maine and the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

Took this hike this afternoon. Was relatively easy hike. Only comment was it difficult at times to figure out which path was the “correct” path vs the shortcut path caused by erosion.

Quick hike with a couple of steep areas. Nice to do with kids. The views are very nice at the top and there’s a marker that shows you the surrounding mountains which was nice since I’m not from the area.

In my opinion a great short hike for an amazing view of great mountains is worth it. Along the way you can just experience nature and beautiful trees and plants. Oh and bring your dog if you have one.

Super short hike but the views on three sides were great. Trees blocked the other. Nice spot to go up and read a book. Dog enjoyed climbing the rocks.

Super short hike right behind the Dollar General. The trail isn't very well marked, but just walk towards the small bald and you'll be able to get to the top. Did this hike in the rain and expected it to be much more slippery than it was, so that's a plus! The sculpture at the top is very cool, as were the views-- definitely worth the 10 minutes it takes to walk up to the top.

Trail wasn’t marked very well. But the view from the top was worth it

The trail is not very easy to follow, but the view from the top, along with map sculpture, is worth it.

Don’t write this one off because it’s short and easy. The view of surrounding mountains from the top is well worth it.

It is an easy and fairly short trip up but the trail was not marked well at all,it was very confusing. The top has a very cool sculpture that shows you what all the mountain are in the distance and the view was awesome.

Nice trail to take the family on. We hiked it with my 68 year old mother and 3 year old niece. Both loved the view and bronze panoramic map.
